Research, Design + Architectural Studio, is the American partner of PTAH, a leading group of companies founded in 2004, headquartered in London, with offices in Miami, Abu Dhabi and Beijing.
rnJoseph Clark is the Managing Director of RD+A and PTAH in the USA. His extensive experience with public and private sector clients, both here and abroad, enables him to navigate with expertise the complex process of research, design and development phases of a project. His detailed, thoughtful and dynamic design work allows him to achieve the client’s desired outcome, without losing the essence and vision of the design.
rnJoseph has a very personal connection with Newtown through his father, a Newtown Alumnus. This connection, along with an overwhelming desire to be of service, has motivated him to offer the services of his firm's significant architectural expertise in support of Newtown Alumni Association's (NAA) proposed memorial initiative.
rnHis architectural firm's work will be in coordination with our designer Travis Fulton, fellow architect Bernard Zyscovich and green space design/build team member LaurelRock Co. Among Joseph’s numerous responsibilities will be preparation and presentation of conceptual memorial drawings along with detailed architectural drawings of a final design. NAA is very grateful and fortunate to have such an experienced architect and firm as key members of its memorial team.
rnIn addition and with ongoing cooperation from Newtown’s GIS Department, Joseph's firm is currently profiling/modeling the Campus of Fairfield Hills on behalf of NAA and the town.

rnBernard Zyscovich, as a friend of Newtown, and in response to the tragic event of 12/14, has generously offered to assist Newtown Alumni Association (NAA) in its mission to honor the victims of this tragedy. With its 90 member architectural staff, and an unparalleled reputation for expertly guiding both public and private projects from concept to completion, NAA has gratefully accepted Zyscovich Architects offer of support.
rnAfter consultation and coordination with NAA memorial team members, it was agreed that the most effective utilization of the considerable strengths of Zyscovich Architects was as our primary consultant in matters concerning Federal and possible State requirements imposed by the EPA or the Ct. DEP. Bernard and his firm are also prepared to provide invaluable primary architectural consultation that will assure smooth navigation through all phases of this meaningful endeavor. In addition, Bernard is a close associate of Joseph Clark, and both have agreed to work collaboratively toward achieving a truly inspired result worthy of this sensitive, solemn and heartfelt mission.
rnNAA, with its assembled team of talented professionals, is confident that with the inclusion of Zyscovich Architects, Newtown’s Memorial and Green Space will be achieved in the dignified and respectful manor that this momentous undertaking demands.
rnWe are pleased to provide access to the credentials of Bernard Zyscovich and his company at their web site, www.zyscovich.com/. We invite you to discover the depth, imagination and beauty of the achievements of this nationally recognized architect and his firm.
